Creston Guitars Creston Lea lives in Burlington, VT where he makes fine electric guitars. He’s made quite a few for me, one of which (Wormwood) is my “main ride” most gigs these days. He also plays bass in Cloud Badge. He also wrote a great collection of short stories. You should buy it.
Antebellum Instruments Located in the heart of the Green Mountains in Rochester, VT. Owner Jake Wildwood takes care of many of my guitars and does a fine job. He specializes in buying, selling, and repairing early 20th century stringed instruments but he’d probably work on your 1998 single cut away Taylor if you ask nicely. There’s always something interesting hanging in the store and he has an exhaustive blog that catalogs all the instruments he sells and repairs.
